G is for Giggles with Mother Goose!

We have been having some fun over here with Mother Goose!  For dramatic play the children enjoy Mother Goose Day by acting out Mother Goose rhymes.

I set up different stations around the room.  In the beginning I give each child a paper Mother Goose picture to carry to the stations.  We go to each place and learn about a different Mother Goose nursery rhyme.  With completion of each activity the children earn a medal to tie to their own Mother Goose!

Act out Little Miss Muffet...don't you just love the spider!?

Humpty Dumpty can be a puzzle....

Jack be nimble
Jack be quick
Jack jump over the candle stick...Jump High!

What about Hey Diddle Diddle ---and throw a cow over the moon...

In completion of Mother Goose day festivities I believe we must have a ceremony for each participant.  Congratulations!

Mother Goose has been around for decades, and she brings us back to colorful and silly rhymes and stories.  What fun ideas do you do with Mother Goose?
